Berlin Mondiale establishes the Society for Transcultural Art and Participatory Space
For the 10th anniversary, Berlin Mondiale established its own nonprofit project sponsor at the beginning of January 2024. Berlin Mondiale: Society for Transcultural Art and Participatory Spaces gUG (limited liability) is the new entity. The Berlin Mondiale project will continue in its existing form under this new sponsor.
Since 2014, Berlin Mondiale has been a project under the auspices of the Kulturnetzwerk Neukölln e.V. We sincerely thank our colleagues there for their support over the past years! As we reflect on our journey, we see the incredible growth our project has experienced over the years. In the past year alone, we collaborated with over 150 artistic and social actors citywide, conducted more than 450 public events in 8 different districts and social areas, and engaged with over 13,000 participants. Against the backdrop of these milestones, we have decided to take the next steps as an independent organization.
Dr. Sabine Kroner and Chris Wachholz continue their work as management, strategic, and business leaders, bringing their expertise and passion into this new chapter along with the Berlin Mondiale team and the broader network. We remain committed to strengthening connections within our existing network and developing new partnerships. Currently, we are in an exciting and ongoing process of learning and unlearning. Our goal is to open up these processes for our transcultural network, promote conversations, and facilitate the exchange of experts to redefine and reshape our criteria for collaboration.
