🦋Growing up means self-determination—but it also comes with challenges.🦋
How much of myself can I show? Will I be seen and accepted? Which spaces belong to me—and which have been denied?
This transformation is akin to a metamorphosis. Especially for those who question societal norms or grow up with multiple cultural affiliations, it is often marked by alienation, resistance, and the search for belonging. Yet change carries its own power. Inspired by Kafka’s The Metamorphosis, we will bring our performance to the streets of Gropiusstadt—bold, vulnerable, and empowering.💪🏽✨
Together with dancer and choreographer Iman Gele (MINCE e.V.) and theater educator and director Mirah Laline (DT Jung*), you will develop an open-air dance theater performance (featuring Afro-diasporic dance styles, particularly Krump and Hip Hop) that redefines identity and creates space for collective self-empowerment.💃🏻 🕺🏻
